Bridgehampton FD Fights Blaze at Safelight Auto Glass

At 6:50 p.m. on Monday, May 22, the Bridgehampton Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at the Safelite Auto Glass store at 2155 Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a blaze on the building’s second floor, and immediately called the Southampton and Sag Harbor Fire Departments for aid at the scene. The East Hampton Fire Department was also asked to stand by at their headquarters. The fire was brought under control in relatively short order, and members of the Southampton Town Fire Marshal’s office were called in to determine the fire’s cause and origin.
