Where We Started
Dan’s Papers, the iconic mainstay of Long Island’s East End for more than 60 years, continues the tradition of being a truly unique offering for readers and advertisers alike. With coverage and commentary that is timely, whimsical, satirical, entertaining and enlightening—every day at DansPapers.com and each week in Dan’s Papers—we feature a unique blend of wit and wisdom you won’t find anywhere else. Dan’s Papers is a “Hamptons Original,” serving local residents and visitors to the Hamptons and the North Fork. We are #HereAllYear.
Where We Are Now
In September 2020, Dan’s Papers and Behind The Hedges were acquired by Schneps Media. Co-Owners, mother and son team, Joshua and Victoria Schneps run the region’s most successful media business dedicated to local news. Our mission is simple: to bring you the best of everything East End.
Dan’s Papers and Behind The Hedges are organic, authentic voices of and for the Hamptons and the North Fork. The history of each of these outlets is rooted in a love for our local communities and a passion for informing and entertaining. We offer print publications, websites, email newsletters, social channels, events, webinars, podcasts and much more that no other media company can deliver on the East End. The company prides itself on award-winning trusted local news reporting and the most engaging, entertaining stories around the arts, food & wine, real estate and more.
DansPapers.com is the go-to online resource for what to do, where to go, where to stay and where to play on the East End. BehindTheHedges.com has expanded its reach and dominance as the top site for East End real estate and those looking to make their homes better, and DansBOTB.com the ultimate resource for local businesses and the annual Dan’s Best of the Best awards.
We look forward to seeing you again soon in person at our Hamptons and North Fork gatherings. Dan’s Taste of Summer, our series of food and wine events that began in 2011, is waiting patiently for directives on social distancing and other safety matters, but we’re already planning for smaller, but just as tasty, events. In July 2020, we launched the Hamptons Home Show on a virtual platform at HamptonsHomeShow.com, and you will also find us organizing community events—virtually and in person—highlighting policy issues with policy makers and involved citizens.
We look forward to supporting the best of the best in independent journalism and sharing stories that enlighten, engage and are being told nowhere else. We remain dedicated to providing readers with inimitable coverage about what matters the most to them in the Hamptons and on the North Fork, and to offering advertisers and partners the broadest reach and most responsive media across all platforms, all the time.
Together, with you, we are Everything East End!
