Brecon Beacons Waterfall Walk

Fancy seeing 4 waterfalls all in one walk? Head to Waterfall Country in the south west of the National Park and try the Four Falls Trail.

It’s about 5 miles depending on where you start and suitable for a range of levels...plus it’s dog-friendly which is always a bonus! If you’re feeling adventurous, this is a perfect spot for gorge walking too.

There’s something magical about that roaring sound as you get closer to each of the four waterfalls… You won’t want to miss it!

Sugar Loaf Mountain walk

Located in the Black Mountains area of the National Park, Sugar Loaf is one of the Brecon Beacons’ best circular walks, with stunning views stretching as far as south-west England..

Though it’s nearly 600 meters high, the peak is wide and gently sloping, making it a great family-friendly option. It’s a real wildlife hotspot here — see how many different kinds of birds you can spot along your way!

When you’re done walking, why not grab a bite to eat in the lovely market town of Abbergavenny?

Sarn Helen

Sarn Helen is a 160 mile route of winding Roman roads, reaching all the way from the north to south coast of Wales… But of course you can dip in for as long or as little as you wish!

Seeing as Sarn Helen is a wide path and relatively even underfoot, it’s a great option for families (and for mountain biking, too). On this path, you’ll see incredible forests, mountains like Fan Llia and ancient Roman camp remains along your way.
